The clean air, free of dust and allergens, rich in ozone and ultraviolet radiations, the marked ionization of the atmosphere and the relatively low pressure are the main cure factors recommended in the treatment of astheric neurosis, weakly conditions, physical and intellectual overexertion, certain endocrine disorders (benign huperthyroidism) and growth disorders in children. The resort hosts many modern hotels and villas and accomodation can also be arranged in private homes. Notable are also the numerous opportunities for amusement, winter sports and trips to the nearby chalets in the mountains (Trei brazi - elevation 1,128 m, Clabucet Sosire - 1,050 m, Clabucet Plecare - 1,450 m, Girbova - 1,350 m, Piatra Mare - 1,630 m, Susai - 1,350 m, Poiana Secuilor - 1,070 m, etc.) or to the cabins farther away on the crests of the Bucegi.
